Sunday May 3

 

Come join us for our Sunday worship service at 10:30 a.m.  We'll worship God with both  traditional hymns and more contemporary praise songs. We're in a sermon series in the New Testament book of 1 John called "1 John: Walking in Life, Light, and Love."  

 

We'll receive the sacrament of communion during church. Following the church service, we'd love to have you join us for something to eat at our monthly luncheon.  For those interested in being baptized, we're offering a short class on the meaning of baptism at 12:15 p.m. upstairs in the Community Room.

 

Tuesday May 5

 

A small group Bible study meets on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at the church.  We're in a study called "Miracles."  We're talking about God's miracles in the Bible and their impact on people both then and how the Lord works through miracles now.  

 

Thursday May 7

 

Join us for an online Zoom small group on Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. for an hour.  We walk through the previous Sunday's sermon in a bit more depth with a focus on life application. Contact the church for a Zoom email link to be sent to you so you can join.

 

Saturday May 9

 

The Men's Group gathers for breakfast the 2nd and 4th Saturdays at 8 a.m. at Bob Evans located at 3524 Indian Meadows Dr. about 10 minutes from church.  Those who have a little more time can come back to the church for a few work projects for 2 hours.  All men and teenage boys are welcome.  

 

Tuesday May 12

 

Our Mt. Olivet Book Club meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 2-3 p.m. at the church.  We're reading Savannah Guthrie's book, "Mostly What God Does." You can join anytime.

 

Wednesday May 13

 

A support group for those strugging with depression or anxiety called "Hope-Filled Lives" meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8 p.m.  You can join us anytime for encouragement and support.  We are seeking to bring God and a Christian perspective to mental health.  

 

Saturday May 16

 

Mt. Olivet will participate in the Trenton Yard Sale with our own church yard sale in our parking lot from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.  Feel free

to donate items for sale or just come to browse and find something you want.  All money raised will go to support our "Summer Nights @ The Mount" outreach in June.  On Friday nights in June from 6 p.m. - dark we'll have a free grill out, side dishes, a mini-Vacation Bible School for kids, games for adults, and special events on each Friday night like a guest magician and musical bands.

COMMUNION AND FELLOWSHIP MEAL

On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate communion during our worship service at 10:30 a.m.  After the service, we gather together for our monthly Fellowship Meal at 11:30 a.m.

BIRTHDAY DINNER

Come join us for our monthly Birthday Meal in the Fellowship Hall.  Enjoy a home-cooked meal as we eat and celebrate our birthdays of the month!  Everyone is invited.

MEN'S BREAKFAST

 A group of men gather for breakfast, fellowship, and a devotional at Bob Evans restaurant at 3524 Indian Meadows Dr. off of Rt. 4 about 10 minutes from the church.  We meet the 2nd and 4th Saturdays at 8 a.m.   Sometimes we come back to the church and do a work project from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.  All men and teenage boys are welcome to come for breakfast or stay for both.

Sundays  9:15  a.m.  

SUNDAY SCHOOL

The adult group is studying the End Times.  Come join us as we learn and grow together!  

                   

Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 10 a.m.   ZOOM 

 SMALL GROUPS

We have two small groups. The first is a small group Bible study on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at the church.  We are in a study called "Miracles."  We'd love to have you. 

 

The second group meets on Thursdays at 10 a.m. as an online Zoom group.   It follows the sermon series by looking at the previous Sunday's message.   We share about our lives a bit, pray for one another, and then jump into the Scriptures to look how we might live out God's living truth in our daily lives.  Just contact the church for the Zoom link to be emailed to you.

COMMUNITY EVENTS


The Edgewood Ministerial Association (EMA) is a cooperative ministry group of local churches that sponsors local community events to spiritually nourish the community of Trenton. The EMA also helps run local ministries to serve those in need.   It sponsors community events such as Gospel Sings, the National Day of Prayer, and holiday celebrations for local churches and the Edgewood Community Schools district.
